🧹 Cobweb Chaser Broom Workshop

Saturday, March 7th, 2026 1:30 PM
Location: Forsyth-Warren Tavern Living History Farm and Museum

Step into the spirit of frontier ingenuity at our Cobweb Chaser Broom Workshop, held inside the historic tavern. Discover the art and utility behind one of early America's most iconic cleaning tools — the long-handled cobweb chaser broom.

Participants will learn how these rustic brooms were crafted using natural broom corn and simple binding techniques, perfect for reaching high beams and dusty corners. Whether you're a history buff, a hands-on learner, or just curious about colonial craftsmanship, this workshop offers a fun and educational experience for all ages.

Materials provided. Space is limited, so advance registration is required.

Come chase cobwebs and connect with tradition — one bundle of broom corn at a time.
